EIEF06 session to Explore use of video games in health
In less than three weeks the Edinburgh Interactive Entertainment Festival conference will be in full swing and a fascinating session on video games and medicine will kick off proceedings.
Presented by Ben Sawyer from Serious Games, ‘Games That Heal - the medicine of interactive software' will examine how computer and video games are being used to help patients with conditions ranging from cancer to post-traumatic stress disorder. The session will also explore the use of interactive software as training tools for medical staff and how games can be used in physical education in schools.
The session, which will take place at the Royal College of Physicians on 21st August, will include contributions from leading developers in the field including Jim Piggott, CEO, TPLD (Team Play Learning Dynamics).
The Edinburgh Interactive Entertainment Festival gets to the cultural and creative heart of games. It provides two days of stimulating and forward thinking debate, great networking and the chance to understand just how games are changing, well just about everything in entertainment.
For just £195 + VAT per delegate, you can spend two days with some of the world’s leading developers, company and brand leaders, sharing their ideas and vision.
