The Edinburgh Interactive Entertainment Festival returns for its fourth year offering you the chance to celebrate the best of the interactive entertaiment industry:

For Industry:

The Conference - 21st & 22nd August 2006

Each year since its inception, the EIEF has listened to its constituents, brainstormed new ideas, and evolved. But the fundamental objectives remain, those of creating an atmosphere where the interactive computer and video game community can celebrate the latest creative milestones, challenge themselves to set ever higher standards of innovation, and to share that vision with the public. The Conference comprises two days of enagaging, thought-provoking sessions at the Royal College of Physicians (21st August) and at the Odeon, Lothian Road (22nd August).

For Everyone:

Game Screenings - 22nd August 2006

Get up close and interactive with the heroes behind some of your favourite video games at the Edinburgh Games Screenings. EIEF06 offers you the exciting opportunity to go behind-the-scenes with the games of the moment as well as giving you sneak previews of the top upcoming titles before your mates in this exclusive one-day showcase.  Packed full of international premieres and news exclusives, EIEF06  brings you closer to the games than ever before!

For Industry:

The Edge Award  - 21st August 2006

The EIEF06 Edge Award aims to reward titles which expand expectations of what games are capable of. Drawn from games reviewed by Edge over the past year, the shortlist rewards neither commercial success, nor necessarily popularity, but instead highlights those which have marked out innovative new paths or achieved new standards of excellence. This shortlist is then considered by an international panel of game industry insiders: people whose professional insight into games hasnít dimmed their personal passion for playing them. Industry professionals will gather at The Jam House for the annual award ceremony and networking party.

For Industry:

The EIEF06 Networking Party - 21st August 2006

The hottest ticket of the year! The EIEF06 Party, based at the Jam House on Queen Street and following the Edge Award ceremony, offers an unparallelled networking environment where those passionate about games can engage with like-minded people to do business, discuss the hot topics of the day, or simply drink, dance and unwind.
